Piesie Esther

Ohemaa Esther popularly known as Piesie Esther was born on June 3rd, 1981 in Tamale, to Grace Adu and Ransford Owusu. She comes from Nsuta Atonsu in the Ashanti Region, where she lived most of her young life and completed her Junior High Education at Atonsu S.D.A.

Piesie Esther released her debut album Apae Ama Me in 2002. She followed up with Me Nte Ase collection in 2008 which earned nominations in the Gospel Artiste of the Year and Gospel Song of the Year categories at the 2009 Ghana Music Awards. Unfortunately, she did not win any of the awards but was honored with Best Motivational Song at the Cevel Gospel Awards same year. 

She later released Ziba Beko as her 3rd album in 2011 and followed up with Agye Won Nsem album in 2016, which is still receiving massive air play throughout the country.

Early 2017, she came out with a whole worship album titled Osore3 Mu Tumi (The Power In Worship.

In 2019, Piesie Esther later dropped ‘Maseda Kɛseɛ’ (My Great Thanks), and was followed with ‘Wobɛdi Adanseɛ’ (You Will Testify) in 2021.

‘Wobɛdi Adanseɛ’ after its released received numerous nominations including ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ at Ghana Music Awards UK, ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ at Ghana Music Awards Dubai, ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ at Ghana Music Awards France, ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ at Ghana Music Awards US, ‘Gospel Female Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Best Gospel Song of the Year’ at Ghana National Gospel Music Awards

She was announced winner for the ‘Gospel Song of the Year’ category at the Ghana Music Awards France.

Early 2022, Piesie Esther dropped another single titled ‘Wayε Me Yie’ which is currently enjoying massive airplay and topping music charts in Ghana and beyond.
